Integrate with Display & Video 360 for Youtube measurement

Corina Alonso Updated by Corina Alonso

AudienceReport Next integration with Display & Video 360 (YouTube) allows you to measure DV360 (YouTube) campaigns and IOs with ease. The integration makes all your DV360 (YouTube) campaigns and IOs available in AudienceReport as items, where you can choose which ones to measure.

Please note this integration will allow you to measure YouTube through DV360. If you want to integrate AudienceReport with DV360 (not YouTube measurement), please follow this guideline.

First, navigate to the upper right corner of your screen, click on your initials, and select “Integrations”. Then click on '+Add new' and select YouTube (DV360) integration. After that, you will be guided through the integration flow.

Please note that if there is already existing YouTube (DV360) integration in the list of integrations you can continue using it

Ads Data Hub will allow precise 3rd party measurement of Youtube campaigns in a privacy-safe environment. It will allow you to evaluate campaigns with AudienceProject leveraging the Google measurement platform (clean room), highly anticipated by our customers and ourselves.

1. Connecting DV360 to Ads Data Hub

The first step is to connect your Google account to Ads Data Hub. You need to sign in to your DV360 account and then follow a few steps. This process varies depending on whether you are a partner or an advertiser.

We recommend connecting to Ads Data Hub as a Partner because it allows cross-advertiser reporting in Audience Report. If it's connected on the Advertiser level, for every advertiser we create a separate connection in Ads Data Hub, and because of that cross-advertiser reporting can't be created

The first step is to connect your Google account to Ads Data Hub. On your DV360 account, navigate to “partner settings' on the left menu'. Then select “linked accounts”.

You will see an overview of your current linked accounts. Now, go to the bottom of the overview, click on “link new account”. Once you click, a dropdown list will appear, select “Ads Data Hub” and start filling in the details.

First, you need to enter the AudienceProject account ID, which is 193-998-487. Then edit the name of the account by inserting it in the field. We recommend naming the account “AudienceProject Ads Data Hub”. Afterwards, click the checkbox authorization, which is mandatory for continuing the process.

Once the account is successfully linked, you’ll see a checkmark on the linked accounts page.

We recommend naming the account “AudienceProject Ads Data Hub”. Select the one for the Floodlight authorization, which is mandatory to continue the process.

2. Integrating DV360 in AudienceReport

Start by logging into the AudienceReport account you will want to connect to. In the upper right corner, click on your account name. Now click on "Integrations" on the menu bar and scroll down till you see the Youtube (DV360) box. Click on “add” to start the process.

When connecting AudienceReport to your DV360 you have two options. You can set up a service user account or you can use a self-hosted proxy server. We recommend you try out the service user accounts to ensure stability in the access permissions.

To set up the account user, you need to invite AudienceProject to your DV360 and grant “Read-only” rights to it. To do this, use the Username and Email shown on the screen and grant the permissions.

Once this is done, click on 'Connect' on your AudienceReport interface and wait for the box to turn green.

If you decide to use a self-hosted proxy server, choose the platform where the server will be and insert the Lambda Function. Then click on 'Connect' and wait for the box to turn green. If you need support on how to create your own proxy, you can read this article about setting up a self-hosted proxy server with AWS or Google Cloud.

Connecting advertisers to client accounts

You will now see a list of your partners and advertisers on DV360. To start measuring your advertisers’ campaigns with DV360, select their client’s account on AudienceReport and select their name on the drop-down list. You can also see the overview of the advertisers you are not measuring at the moment, as well as the ADH connection status.

Once you have connected all the desired advertisers, click on “Continue” in the lower right corner and confirm your selection. Below the list of selected advertisers, click on “Enable integration” to start measuring.

Please remember that we can only fetch data from YouTube once per 24h, so it might take some time until you start seeing your campaigns’ results / new campaigns on AudienceReport.
